Life is at a stand still

I have not written in a while because so many of you have questions about things like where are you moving, what job is Danny taking, and the truth is I DON'T KNOW. Life seems to be in a holding spot right now, and most of you know I am not a stand still kind of gal. I don't mind change, I actually love change, I get real excited because I love to plan. The problem is we have to move Nov. 1, but we do not know where we are moving to yet, yes, if that is not nerve wracking I don't know what is.
It has been a relaxing two weeks with Danny home, he is working on adjusting to being back home in the states, and I am adjusting to the fact that my house is not ever spotless when he is home. But since we are moving and I am in a packing mode, it is not bothering me as much as normal. That will all change once we get moved into our much smaller home. It was fun living in a beautiful big home, but I am looking forward to cheaper utilities and less house to clean.
My grandson is doing so good. He is such a beautiful baby, he weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces, and his name is Tristan Andrew Pickel. I have pictures of him on my camera, as soon as Danny gives me back my laptop back I will download them and post new pictures. I am not good with the Mac I am typing on, that is what I need to be learning while I am just sitting here doing nothing.
I am leaving for California the 24th to meet my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for a girls long weekend. We are doing Disney (of course), going to hang out on the beaches. I am so excited, I have always loved California, don't know why dad moved us out of there, ha ha, just kidding dad. While I am in California, Danny's best buddy from Colorado is coming down and they are going to have some male bonding. They plan on doing some hiking, BQ, and having some drinks I'm sure.
I bought a book called Blogging for Dummies, so you all wait, one day you are going to open my page and be amazed with the creative side of me. I love looking at other bloggers and seeing things that inspire me, and that is what I hope to do for others. Sorry it is taking so long to get this page going but it will be much more organized and consistent in the near future.

Plan In Motion For A Great Month

Hi everyone, hope your week is going great, it is 110 here in Phoenix. Puppy doesn't even want to go out and potty because the ground is so hot on his feet. Potty training is not as easy as I remember it being, Bailey and I go out every hour and a half 24 hours a day, so sleep is not the best right now.
Danny called with a GREAT surprise, he is on his way home from over seas, I was so excited about the news. Home after a one year and three months, so that is the greatest news I have to share. Should be home around the 7th so I will be sharing welcome home pictures and news soon. I am also meeting my sister-in-law and mother-in-law Sept. 24th through the 27th for some girl R&R time. We will be doing good old Disneyland and the beach.
Baby Tristan is still in mommy's belly, he is due in 3 days, but Jasmine feels no sign of that happening. I am so glad papa is going to be home to enjoy him while he is a newborn. When I am just sitting around day dreaming I catch myself laughing, I never imagined having a house full of grandkids and animals, but here we are. Everyday is different with all of them around, crazy, happy, and sometimes downright exhausting.
Tomorrow I have to go get boxes and begin the good old packing up the house. Since Danny will be home sooner we have to get settled in Vail Arizona so Danny will be near work at Fort Hauchuca. Went looking yesterday; it is a three hour drive from Phoenix, but did not find a thing. I saw a few area's I really like, so I think something will come up by Oct. 1st.
Well I better go Bailey is calling, but I'will write tomorrow and let you all know what neat plans I have for Christmas and the new knitting and scrapbook projects I have up my sleeve.
As always; TRY SOMETHING NEW TODAY. I am going to try a new workout dvd today, I'll let you know how that goes.

Welcome To My New Blog

This is a picture of friends from Mo. that I met in 1988. Sarah is the wonderful friend who introduced me to blogging. Notice I said INTRODUCED, I am getting a book today to familiarize myself with the whole concept. To me I look at this blog as my "scrapbook diary", I live so far from all my family so I thought this would be a wonderful way for everyone to check in and see what is going on in this brain of mine, and to also enjoy pictures of the grandkids, dogs, birds, and to see what hobbies I am currently working on.
I haven't written in a diary since high school so this might be quite therapeutic. I usually say that today is like any other day, but is it really? Each day we have different moods, different weather, and different ideal's, and believe me I always have idea's. The problem lately that I have all these idea's but I never set in motion to follow through with them. Well TODAY that all ends.
So my blog today is; I am going to familiarize myself with the how this blog stuff works, first going to Barnes and Noble and pick up a blogging book. Hopefully I will develop a page where people enjoy looking through, and seeing what the Peterson's are working through on a daily bases, which will consist of joys, daily chores, goal, and a few stumbles.
Within the next few days I will have a few pictures for you to enjoy, but be a little patient. We have a new addition to our family, a little cockapoo named Bailey, and we are training very hard.
Before I leave you, I just wanted everyone to look forward to a special addition to the family. His name is Tristan Andrew, and he is due to come into the world in 5 day. Jason and Jasmine are very excited about the new addition. AND Danny is scheduled to return home next month, so lets keep our figures crossed for that wonderful home welcoming.
Everyone enjoy your day, and remember to TRY SOMETHING NEW TODAY......

Not Tammy's Family

Doug, Sarah and Holland in California

I've uploaded a picture for you, which you can delete later. When you are writing a new post, there is a tool bar that has font size, adding link, bold/italic, and others, plus there's a tiny photo button which you click on to upload photos. You can also click the video button and add videos!

Creating Categories

To have a category list show up on your sidebar you will need to have posts for them to link to.
When you are in your Customize page and if you look to the bottom right of this box it says "Labels for this post:" I added Labels that I thought pertained to your life. Now look on your Sidebar and you'll see Tammy's Categories and the list of Labels.
As you add more posts about these things you will only add one Label to each post so they will be separated.
I'll add another post to show you this. So click on My Family in the sidebar and just the post with the My Family label will show up.

You can also keep posts hidden by not publishing them and they will be saved as drafts in your Edit Post tab.

Just play around with the different elements and you will soon learn how to do it.

You can also Google different things you want to do and read instructions for changes etc.
